US Foods in Westwego, LA is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep our diesel tractors, trailers and related equipment running safely and reliably. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and perform preventive maintenance in line with DOT standards, and respond to road calls with vendors as needed.

You’ll document repairs using our fleet software, mentor junior staff, and strive to improve uptime.

Qualifikationen

• 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using fleet maintenance software (preferred).
• Welding ability (preferred).

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and partners on action plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules and government guidelines.
• Document equipment repairs and parts used in fleet software.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
