Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience sorting recyclable materials in a recycling facility.
• Ability to safely sort and deposit materials into appropriate chutes.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recoverable materials from incoming waste.
• Deposit materials into chutes safely.
• Assist with heavy or bulky items as needed.
• Follow safety policies, including stopping conveyors in emergencies.
• Inspect loads for unacceptable waste and remove items as required.
• Communicate with equipment operators about loads requiring special attention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
