Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking an on-site EHS and recycling operations lead in Kentucky. You will oversee safety training, incident documentation, and proactive workplace hazard mitigation while coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure seamless operations at the Gigafactory.

Responsibilities include driving recycling improvements, building vendor relationships, and directing the recycling team to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in recycling, custodial services, grounds maintenance, or a related operational field.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and flexibility.
• Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to daily work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support EHS practices by ensuring safety training is up to date and incidents are documented.
• Manage scheduling for internal and external team members to ensure smooth coordination.
• Drive initiatives to improve recycling efficiency and reduce waste.
• Build and maintain relationships with external vendors while negotiating rates for scrap materials.
• Provide direction to recycling team, set daily targets, and motivate staff to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Track team performance, provide feedback, and take corrective action when needed.
• Perform hands-on tasks including accident reporting, safety training, and operating heavy equipment such as balers.
