Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a recruiting coordinator to support the Recruiting Department in managing field positions recruitment.

You will post vacancies, screen applicants, conduct phone screenings, run background checks, and coordinate offers with facilities' HR teams. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with an ATS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Resources or related field with 1 year of related work experience.
• Or a High School diploma with 2 years of related work experience.
• Good working knowledge of recruiting concepts, practices and procedures.
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information; multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Post daily notifications of vacant positions in the ATS.
• Review applicants against minimum job requirements to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone screenings to assess qualifications.
• Perform background checks per federal, state, and contracting agency rules.
• Notify Recruiter of questionable backgrounds for further screening.
• Update ATS to reflect applicant statuses and communicate offers.
