Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. seeks a Recruiter to support recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding across service centers.

The role requires travel to multiple centers, career fairs, and events, and close collaboration with the Recruiting Manager to reach staffing goals. You will source candidates through social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and agencies, review applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding and training programs.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Experience conducting interviews is a plus.
• HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Travel to service centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies with goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually; set up interviews for hiring managers.
• Advance candidates through the interview and hiring process in the ATS.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at service centers.
• Train new service center employees.
• Maintain communication with service center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring ManagersFollowing up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
