Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support service centers in recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding of candidates. The role involves travel to multiple service centers, career fairs, and events to source and interview hourly employees and interns.

You will collaborate with the Recruiting Manager, build pipelines via social media and job boards, and manage interviewing processes and onboarding at the service center level.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience interviewing and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Prior HR/recruiting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist service centers with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.

• Coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers in-person or virtual.
• Travel to service centers, career fairs, and events as needed.
• Maintain ATS and onboarding schedules; support training.

Job description

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring ManagersFollowing up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
