Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support our service centers with recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding quality candidates.

The role involves travel to various centers, career fairs, school presentations, and hiring events to build a strong talent pipeline. You will partner with the Recruiting Manager to align strategies, source candidates via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and staffing agencies, review applications and interview applicants both

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and Interns.
• Interview applicants both in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers and follow up with candidates.
• Advance candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in the ATS.
• Create Training Schedule for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns

• Setting up interviews for Hiring ManagersFollowing up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
