Old Dominion Mechanical is hiring a Recruiter to manage full-cycle talent acquisition onsite in Henrico County, VA. You will own end-to-end searches across technical, operational, and commercial roles and collaborate with department heads to define role requirements and interview criteria.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, strong outbound sourcing instincts, and proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS.

Qualifications

3-5 years of proven full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience
Construction and trades experience is a plus
Strong outbound sourcing instincts, including researching unfamiliar talent pools
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and modern ATS; intermediate to advanced Excel and Outlook skills
SHRM/PHR or Talent Acquisition certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end recruitment searches across technical, operational, and commercial functions
Run proactive outbound talent searches using LinkedIn, networks, social media and industry databases
Build relationships with department heads to define role requirements and interview criteria
Set up and manage structured interview loops with hiring managers and stakeholders
Review resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, assess cultural alignment and capability
Complete reference and background checks as part of candidate evaluation
Network with local organizations and universities to build a steady pipeline
Provide a high-touch candidate experience through interview stages and offer negotiation
Maintain and optimize the ATS with accurate data entry and metrics
Coordinate onboarding frameworks and initial hiring paperwork

Old Dominion Mechanical is hiring a Recruiter to manage full-cycle talent acquisition onsite in Henrico County, VA.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end recruitment searches across technical, operational, and commercial functions
Run proactive outbound talent searches using LinkedIn, professional networks, social media, and industry databases to engage passive candidates
Build close, consultative relationships with department heads to define role requirements and align on interview criteria
Set up and manage structured interview loops with hiring managers and interview stakeholders
Review resumes, conduct rigorous initial phone/video interviews, and assess cultural alignment and capability
Complete reference and background checks as part of candidate evaluation
Network with local organizations, industry groups, and university career centers to build and maintain a consistent pipeline of warm leads
Provide a high-touch candidate experience, including transparent guidance through interview stages and offer negotiation to closing
Maintain and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate data entry, candidate tracking, and metrics compliance
Support the move from candidate to new hire by coordinating onboarding frameworks and processing initial hiring paperwork

Requirements

3-5 years of proven full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience (fast-paced or rapidly growing corporate environment preferred)
Construction and trades experience is a plus
Strong outbound sourcing instincts, including the ability to research unfamiliar talent pools and map competitive markets
Excellent interpersonal skills plus negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written) for handling candidate objections and presenting company value
Highly organized with ownership mindset and the ability to manage multiple open requisitions under pressure while maintaining quality
High proficiency with recruiting platforms including LinkedIn Recruiter and modern ATS frameworks; intermediate to advanced skills with Excel and Outlook
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Basic familiarity with U.S. employment practices and labor laws preferred
Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM, PHR, or Talent Acquisition certificates) are a strong plus
