Job description

Hope Human Services is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter to support high-volume hiring at its Vancouver, WA location. This onsite role combines recruiting execution with cross-training so the position can help sustain local HR operations while contributing to department recruiting outcomes.

The Recruiter will be responsible for moving candidates through the early stages of the hiring process, partnering with managers during interview coordination, and working alongside the local HR coordinator to build day-to-day HR capability. The role is structured to support recruiting goals while strengthening practical knowledge of HR functions such as onboarding and HRIS updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Support recruiting activities by screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and assisting managers with the interview process.
• Cross-train with the local HR coordinator to learn daily HR processes, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
• Contribute to the attainment of specific recruiting goals and overall HR department results.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recruiting and/or customer service experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
• In-depth understanding of recruiting and sourcing tools.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including consistently reporting on time and prepared.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with patience and timely responses to requests.

• Effective verbal and written communication that is clear and well-organized.
• Computer literacy, including automated HR information systems, MS Word/Excel, and email.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check with the State of Washington and maintain clearance throughout employment.
• Valid Washington State driver's license.

Compensation and Schedule

• Wage range: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
• Job type: Full-time
• Work setting: Vancouver office (onsite)
