Job summary

Brightwing offers a FlexRecruit™ embedded recruiting opportunity where consultants work directly with client organizations as an extension of their team. You will recruit talent, advise leaders, and help standardize processes across engagements.

Engagements can be full-time or part-time, remote or hybrid, with scope ranging across multiple clients based on expertise and availability. Compensation is typically hourly, tied to client needs and consultant experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand business needs, culture, talent requirements, and hiring priorities.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting from intake and sourcing through interviewing, offers, and onboarding coordination.
• Develop sourcing strategies using direct outreach, networking, job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels.
• Improve job descriptions, candidate profiles, interview scorecards, and selection criteria with consistent processes.
• Coach leaders on interviewing, evaluating candidates, and selling the opportunity and culture.
• Provide recruiting metrics, pipeline reporting, and market intelligence to client leadership.

Brightwing is expanding our FlexRecruit™ consultant network and looking for experienced recruiting professionals who want to combine hands‑on recruiting with meaningful client consulting.

FlexRecruit™ is Brightwing’s embedded recruiting solution. Our consultants work directly with client organizations as an extension of their team, helping them recruit critical talent while improving the processes, tools, and strategies behind how they hire. Depending on the engagement, you may manage specific searches, provide fractional recruiting support, or help build and standardize a client’s entire talent acquisition function.

Engagements may be full‑time or part‑time, remote or hybrid. Consultants may support one or multiple clients based on their expertise, availability, and client needs.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities vary by client engagement and may include:

• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand business needs, culture, talent requirements, and hiring priorities.
• Manage full‑cycle recruiting from intake and sourcing through interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding coordination.
• Assess existing recruiting practices and recommend practical improvements to the client’s talent acquisition strategy.
• Build, document, and standardize recruiting processes that continue to serve the client after the engagement.
• Develop sourcing strategies using direct outreach, networking, job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
• Improve job descriptions, candidate profiles, interview scorecards, and selection criteria; establish consistent intake, evaluation, and offer processes.
• Coach hiring managers on interviewing, evaluating candidates, and selling the opportunity, company, and culture.
• Provide recruiting metrics, pipeline reporting, market intelligence, and recommendations to client leadership.
• Collaborate with Brightwing’s recruiting, HR, and leadership teams to address broader talent challenges.

• Significant hands‑on recruiting experience and the ability to independently manage searches.
• Confidence working directly with executives, hiring managers, and HR leaders as a trusted advisor.
• The ability to assess a recruiting environment, recommend improvements, and build structure where processes are inconsistent or nonexistent.
• Adaptability across organizations, cultures, technologies, and leadership styles, with clear communication that explains the reasoning behind recommendations.
• An appreciation for autonomy, collaboration, and both immediate recruiting results and lasting improvements to the client’s hiring capabilities.

Preferred Experience

We are particularly interested in backgrounds supporting light industrial and manufacturing, commercial construction and skilled trades, information technology, engineering, operations and supply chain, and professional or corporate functions.

Experience in embedded recruiting, RPO, fractional recruiting, corporate talent acquisition, recruiting consulting, or building talent acquisition functions is especially valuable.

• Engagement as a Brightwing W-2 employee or, when appropriate, as an independent 1099 consultant operating through your own LLC.
