Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter for an immediate contract opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This temporary Recruiter role is ideal for a talent acquisition professional with strong technical recruiting experience and the ability to support hiring needs across specialized teams.

In this onsite position, the Recruiter will partner closely with hiring managers, source qualified technical talent, manage candidate pipelines, and support a smooth, professional hiring process from initial outreach through final selection. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented recruiter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, supporting critical hiring priorities, and contributing to a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates for technical roles at various experience levels.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, technical qualifications, hiring priorities, and selection criteria.
• Develop recruiting strategies to attract, engage, and maintain pipelines of qualified technical talent.
• Manage interview coordination, candidate communication, and recruitment documentation throughout the hiring process.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System and support compliance with employment laws, OFCCP requirements, and company policies.
• Support additional recruiting, talent acquisition, and hiring initiatives as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate: $38.00 to $58.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Assignment duration: 6 months, with potential for extension.
• Employment type: Temporary.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a minimum 30-minute meal period.
• Work location: Fully onsite in Santa Barbara, CA.
• Start date: Immediate.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage full-cycle recruiting support for technical and specialized positions.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordination.
• Partner with hiring managers to define requirements and support timely hiring decisions.
• Maintain ATS records, recruitment documentation, and compliance-focused recruiting practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience.
• At least 2 years of technical recruiting experience preferred for this role.
• Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting candidates for specialized technical roles.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and recruiting compliance requirements.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate professionally with candidates, employees, and all levels of management.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, English, or a related field.
• Experience using Paylocity or similar HRIS/ATS platforms.
• Recruiting experience within government contracting, aerospace, defense, software, engineering, or research and development environments.
• Experience recruiting for highly specialized or technical positions.
