Job summary

System One is hiring a Recruiter in Deer Park, Texas for an in-office, contract-to-hire role. The candidate will build and manage talent pipelines, create compelling job descriptions, and partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs for engineering-focused positions in power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in construction/engineering recruiting, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably specializing in engineers within power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution.
• Background in construction and experience building strong partnerships with hiring managers to forecast and develop staffing plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, post, and maintain quality job descriptions and advertisements for open positions, ensuring consistency and compliance across postings.
• Source candidates through social media and networking to build robust pipelines.
• Initiate contact with passive candidates and maintain candidate pipelines.
• Screen potential candidates in collaboration with business leads.
• Review applications and maintain candidate progress using the ATS.
• Develop compensation recommendations with hiring managers and negotiate offers.
• Manage all stages of the candidate lifecycle from job creation to offer.
• Coordinate with onboarding to ensure a smooth new-hire experience.
• Attend career fairs and trade shows (travel required).

Overview

Seeking a candidate ideally with a background in the construction industry and experience building strong partnerships with hiring managers to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, post, and maintain quality job descriptions and advertisements for open positions, ensuring consistency and compliance across all postings
• Source candidates through creative social media tools and develop robust networking avenues
• Initiate contact with passive candidates for openings and maintain candidate pipelines
• Work collaboratively with business leads to screen potential candidates
• Utilize internal applicant tracking system to review applications and maintain candidate progress
• In partnership with hiring managers and HR, develop compensation recommendations and negotiate job offers with candidates.
• Facilitate all stages of the candidate lifecycle, from job creation through offer, ensuring all candidates have a positive, well-informed experience during the recruiting process.
• Maintain thorough communication with members of the onboarding team to ensure a successful experience throughout
• Attend career fairs and trade shows (travel required)

Requirements

• This position will be based in Deer Park, Texas and will be in-office 5 days a week.
• The ideal candidate has a background in construction and experience building strong partnerships with hiring managers to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably specializing in the recruitment of engineers within the domains of power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution. Candidates with a background in technical recruitment or other recruitment specializations may also be considered
• Demonstrated professional communication skills
