Job summary

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical seeks a Recruiter to drive the full recruiting lifecycle for the Austin location, partnering with hiring managers to meet ongoing business needs. The role supports the HR team and facilitates HR processes, answering questions and aiding onboarding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Recruiter, corporate and staffing agency experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Skilled Trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) highly desired.
• Ability to build a candidate pipeline with outbound and inbound sourcing.
• Familiarity with Recruitment Marketing and ATS tools like iCIMS.
• Willingness to work after hours when needed.

Overview

Abacus is currently seeking a Recruiter to fill one of the most crucial roles to the success of our business. In this role, the recruiter will be responsible for the overall pipeline of potential candidates for the Abacus Austin location and the recruiting life cycle involved. This position will establish and maintain internal relationships with hiring managers to develop their on-going business needs, and to ultimately hire the best possible candidates for the team. This position will support the HR manager and the management team with additional projects related to human resources and recruiting. They will also be enthusiastic and a helpful person who is able to assist Abacus employees by answering questions and facilitating HR processes.

Please note: This is a fully on-site position. Candidates must be able to work from the office as scheduled.

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

• Orchestrate the entire recruiting life cycle to include sourcing and screening, selection, hiring, and on-boarding.
• Develop and implement hiring strategies to attract the best talent in our industry.
• Develop a partnership with Hiring Managers
• Use a multi-channel approach to recruiting (sourcing job boards, social media, community outreach)
• Conduct both skills based and behavior-based interviews to determine a candidate "true fit" for the job
• Build talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates while maintaining an active pipeline
• Write and update job descriptions related to hiring
• Execute hiring events as needed
• Cultivate an outstanding candidate experience
• Assist in employee orientation
• Special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

• 2+years of experience as a Recruiter; a balance of Corporate and Staffing Agency Recruiting is a plus
• Knowledge of the Skilled Trades Industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Water Treatment) HIGHLY desired
• Ability and willingness to develop an expert level understanding of position requirements
• Clear understanding that recruiting requires both outbound (build relationships to create a pipeline of candidates) AND inbound (review large volumes of resumes) effort
• Understanding and familiarity with Recruitment Marketing
• Good understanding and experience with iCIMS or similar ATS Software
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work hour "after hours" as necessary to contact potential candidates
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
