Zusammenfassung

Providence PACE is seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic social, recreational and diversional activities for participants in our elder care program.

The role involves assessments, development and implementation of activities, participation in interdisciplinary care planning, and supervision of volunteers. This position supports elders to live active, independent lives and is based in the Seattle area with a 24-hour/week schedule on Tue, Wed and Fri.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy required.
• Within 30 days of hire: BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: Washington Recreational Therapist Registration.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from NCTRC.
• Preferred: 2 years providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.

Aufgaben

• Provide therapeutic social, recreational and diversional activities for participants.
• Conduct individual assessments to identify participants' interests/needs.
• Develop and implement individual and group activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Coordinate recreation documentation for assigned participants.
• Assist with training and supervising volunteers and interns.
• Lead facility-wide participant-centered events.
