Job summary

Qualifications

• CTRS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience providing recreational therapy to aging populations.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate interventions aligned with care plans.
• Experience documenting progress and communicating within an IDT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic recreation assessments and document findings per regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized and group therapeutic interventions.
• Contribute to IDT care planning with assessments and SMART goals.
• Adapt activities to diverse functional levels and cultural backgrounds.
• Monitor progress, update care plans, and document outcomes.
• Support safe, engaging programs in day centers and community settings.
• Participate in care transitions and recommend therapeutic supports.
