Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc in the United States is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary treatment team. You’ll apply recreational therapy, expressive arts, and psycho-educational interventions to plan and implement individualized treatment programs.

You will assess patient needs with the team, lead milieu programming and therapy groups, build therapeutic relationships, document care, and participate in safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CTRS certification required.
• Minimum three months of relevant psychiatric/medical/clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and design a treatment plan with the team.
• Plan milieu programming, teach skills, and run therapy groups.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary treatment plans and attend rounds.
• Document consistently and participate in safety management.
