PACE Southeast Michigan seeks a Recreational Therapist to plan, develop and implement groups addressing social, physical, spiritual, emotional and cognitive needs. You will assess participants, communicate with the IDT, and help shape a coordinated care plan while promoting safety and confidentiality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Recreation Therapy, CRTS certification, Michigan eligibility, and at least one year with frail/elderly populations.

Qualificações

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy/Leisure Services.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certificate is required.
• Be legally authorized to practice in Michigan.
• Physical ability to push occupied wheelchairs and assist participants with ambulation.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with a frail or elderly population.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate development of the monthly recreation therapy calendar.
• Facilitate recreation therapy groups and activities per care plan goals.
• Coordinate with transportation supervisor for community trips.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and inform Center Manager when replenishment is needed.
• Complete intakes, care plans, reviews and progress notes timely and accurately.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and ensure safety and well-being of staff and participants.
• Advocate for participants and report unusual occurrences with documentation.
• Demonstrate leadership in group settings and delegate tasks to other disciplines.
• Attend team meetings and maintain confidentiality of participant information.
• Follow infection control policies and universal precautions.
