Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in New Bern seeks a dynamic Program Supervisor for the EMPOWER Recreation & Wellness program. This full-time role oversees recreation activities, supports staff, and helps run all phases of the program.

You will recruit and supervise staff, align activities with participant needs, and ensure strong operations. A bachelor's degree in recreation, special education, or related human services is preferred, with at least two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of supervisor experience overseeing staff and implementation of activities within the program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and implement recreational and wellness activities; supervise direct care recreation para-professionals.
• Recruit Direct Support staff; interview, shadow, and hire.
• Review participant files and match staff to participant needs; ensure programs meet participant needs and abilities.
