Job summary

The City of Manteca is seeking a capable Recreation Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise diverse recreation programs for youth, adults, and seniors. You will lead staff, manage resources, and work with other city departments to deliver high‑quality services in a safe environment.

You will oversee field trips and special events, develop schedules, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with laws and best practices relevant to recreation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree equivalent in recreation, physical education, public administration, business administration, or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience delivering sports, recreation, or community service programs.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.
• Possession of a Lifesaving Certification (CPR/AED and First Aid), to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, assign, review, and supervise staff and day-to-day recreation programs.
• Develop, deliver, and coordinate program activities and services across youth, adult, aquatics, and senior programs.
• Coordinate activities with City departments and outside agencies; ensure facilities are operated and maintained safely.
• Provide technical level support to the Recreation Manager and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and related program materials; maintain accurate records and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
