Job summary

Ucitymo Recreation Department seeks an experienced Recreation Supervisor to oversee sports, health and fitness operations. You will plan, coordinate and supervise staff involved with fitness classes, personal training and youth/adult sports to deliver engaging programs citywide.

The role requires developing schedules, training staff, and maintaining high customer service standards while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A relevant degree and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation Management, Sports Management, Physiology or related field.
• Minimum of three years of directly related full-time recreation experience, with one year in a supervisory role.
• CPR and AED certifications within six months of hire.
• CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) within one year of hire.
• Experience creating and managing sport leagues and sport programming; knowledge of travel sports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and management of sports, health and fitness programs and events.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate fitness and sport staff.
• Monitor revenue metrics and adjust programs to close gaps.
• Implement risk management and ensure safety of staff and patrons.
• Train staff on industry updates and customer engagement.
• Coordinate with facilities and public works for repairs and scheduling.
