The City of Savannah is seeking a recreation program facilitator to plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities that boost physical, social, and cognitive well-being for all ages in Savannah and surrounding communities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6 months to 1 year of volunteer or paid leadership experience; a valid driver's license is preferred, and First Aid/CPR is a plus. Schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 6 months to 1 year as a volunteer or paid leader for those 18+.
• Background check and post-offer medical screening required prior to employment.
• First Aid/CPR certification desired but not required.
• Driver's license desired.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, and leads recreational, educational, social, and cultural activities for all ages.
• Implements safety precautions for participants and spectators.
• Coordinates daily activity schedules and supervises diverse groups.
• Resolves conflicts among participants and enforces rules.
• Maintains attendance records and basic equipment inventory.
• Provides first aid for minor injuries and may transport participants.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
