Job summary

The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Recreation Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations at an assigned recreation center. You will supervise staff, plan programs, coordinate facility use, and ensure safety and budget compliance.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, event setup, deposits, inventory, and customer service. A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field plus one year of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or closely related field; 1 year of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage fitness and recreation programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff; handles performance concerns and appraisals.
• Plans, promotes, and administers recreation programs; recruits instructors and manages schedules.
• Coors facility use; maintains master calendar; coordinates rentals and event setup.
• Prepares daily deposits; maintains financial documentation and budgets.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates facility maintenance and safety compliance.
• Communicates with staff, customers, vendors; prepares reports and presentations.
• Develops department budget and monitors expenditures; provides customer service.
• Performs general administrative duties and ensures policy compliance.
