Job summary

West Fargo Park District is seeking a Facility Specialist I for the Rustad Recreation Center. Under supervision, you will maintain indoor facilities and grounds, supervise rentals, and assist with events, front desk tasks, and guest services.

The role requires good communication, high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license. Evening shifts with weekend rotation are included and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with peers, superiors, other departments, vendors and external agencies.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, supervisors and the public.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility/grounds in a clean, safe, sanitary condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance per park standards.
• Perform custodial duties as required and assigned.
• Work without supervision, plan and execute daily activities to achieve goals.
• Assist patrons by answering questions and directing them to staff.
• Handle incoming calls and direct messages to staff.
• Assist with Front Desk duties, public relations and customer service.
• Operate maintenance equipment safely (turf equipment, floor scrubber, etc.).
• Work daytime, weekend or evening hours; rotate one weekend every four weeks.
• Coordinate, supervise and assign work to part-time staff.
• Supervise rentals, parties and activities in facility/grounds.
• Follow and uphold West Fargo Park District standards and expectations.
• Carry out special projects as assigned by Facility Supervisor.
