Job summary

The Thompson Rivers Parks and Recreation District is seeking a friendly Part-time Facility Attendant II to oversee indoor facilities and outdoor fields during the absence of full-time staff. You may supervise multiple locations, deliver WOW-level customer care, and help ensure safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include front desk support, event setup, basic maintenance, and accurate reporting. This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess basic clerical and computer skills.
• CPR & First Aid certification from American Red Cross or obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of recreation programs and policies.
• Supervisor experience.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks reliably.
• Excellent written and oral communication across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled shift and supervise activities.
• Light maintenance, set up/tear down of events and safe operations.
• Enforce department policy and ensure secure facility after shifts.
• Provide front desk support, assist visitors, and handle registrations.
• Maintain accurate accident and incident reports and a clean facility.
