Job summary

Hearts & Hands Of Care, Inc seeks a Recreation Assistant to support individuals and staff through program implementation, data collection and activity coordination at the center in Anchorage, Alaska.

The role focuses on coordinating arts, sports and music activities, ensuring supplies, supervising participants and maintaining a safe, clean environment while collaborating with a broader community network.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years’ experience in the field or related field.
• Must be at least eighteen years of age and have a valid Alaska Driver License.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and direct educational and enrichment activities.
• Ensure supplies are available for activities and provide necessary support.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of the Recreation Center to meet standards.
• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals.
• Maintain an activity calendar and assist in budgeting and event planning.
• Network with other centers and the community to grow participation.
