Job summary

Alameda Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning, coordinating, conducting, and implementing a therapeutic activity program that meets group and individual resident needs. You will help create a clean, safe, and engaging environment for residents, and encourage participation in activities and social interactions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Applicants with an active C.N.A certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily activities to keep residents engaged and motivated.
• Participate in planning and taking part in outside activities.
• Assist with monthly resident council meetings.
• Adapt recreation programs to meet residents' needs and capabilities.
• Direct and organise activities to develop social interaction and confidence.
• Be self-starter with an outgoing personality to engage patients.
