Centennial Post Acute in Anchorage, AK is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and lead resident activities, support communication, and contribute to a vibrant, therapeutic daily routine for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, organized, and enthusiastic with ability to lead activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead resident activities for individuals and groups.
• Coordinate communication among residents, families, staff, and agencies.
• Participate in community and facility planning to meet resident needs.
• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and attendance records.
• Contribute to development of resident activity care plans and assessments.
• Coordinate transportation for outings, appointments, and discharges as needed.
• Design diverse monthly activity schedules including group events and in-room programs.
• Encourage resident engagement in self-directed activities with accessible formats.
