Position Summary

This vacancy is for multiple Aquatic facilities located on Hunter Army Airfield, GA. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. The position is located at Hunter Army Airfield Pools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools, working under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager.
• Provide maximum pool area surveillance and respond to emergencies; rescue pool patrons and administer first aid as required.
• Employ safety rules for the protection of pool guests. Responsible for lifeguarding guests at the assigned aquatics facility.
• Assist in maintaining pool area cleanliness and remove hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• One-year probation may be required.
• Complete employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to background checks per AR 215-3, including Tier 1 investigation.
• Possible additional checks for regular contact with children.
• Current health assessment documenting good physical health and absence of communicable disease.
• Must maintain vision standard 20/40 or better while on duty.
• Follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment.
• Work may involve irregular duties, special events, weekend, weekdays, holidays, and night duty.
• Fifteen-year-old lifeguards must comply with DOL Child Labor Law (Jan 17, 2006).
• All required certifications must be kept current.
