Job summary

Mountain Home AFB is seeking a pool and aquatic center lifeguard for its Outdoor Recreation program in Mountain Home, Idaho. This Nationally Funded position is flexible with no minimum guaranteed hours and up to 40 hours per week, with no benefits offered.

Applicants must hold a current nationally recognized lifeguard certification, basic first aid, and CPR (child and adult). Experience with swimming activities and pool equipment is desirable; detailed eligibility requirements are provided in

• Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills.
• Must have basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training.
• Experience with swimming activities, rules and procedures; knowledge of pool and safety equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pool safety and supervision as required.
• Possess current lifesaving skills and knowledge of water rescue procedures.
• Familiarity with pool safety equipment and maintenance is desirable.

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and this position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation at Mountain Home AFB, ID.

Qualifying Experience:

For pool and aquatic center lifeguards: Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is desirable.
