Job summary

Turning Point Community Programs in Modesto, CA is seeking a peer specialist to assist members in meeting goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness while living in the community.

Under supervision, you will apply lived experience, provide active listening, help develop recovery plans, connect clients with local resources, and support empowerment through collaboration with teams. This is an at-will, direct-service role focused on compassionate care and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; life experience related to mental health.
• Reliable transportation to attend client visits and meetings.
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and documentation for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in meeting goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness in the community.
• Provide active listening, messages of hope, and recovery encouragement.
• Develop and support recovery plans in partnership with clients.
• Connect clients with local county/state resources and supports.
• Attend team meetings and complete required paperwork as directed.
