Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to advocate for clients in office outpatient settings, providing peer support and life skills to help clients regain control of their recovery.

The role includes greeting clients, aiding intake and documentation in the EHR, coordinating with staff, leading group activities, and participating in outreach. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and a high school diploma or GED is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in community mental health preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish in writing and speaking.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trusting relationships.
• Proficiency with basic office software and data entry in EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in office outpatient settings and provide peer support.
• Greet clients, schedule assessments, and help with documentation in EHR.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies.
• Coordinate with intake staff and participate in outreach activities.
• Support group and individual sessions and track client progress.
• Drive on agency business for outreach events and supplies.
