Turning Point Community Programs in Rancho Cordova, CA seeks a Peer Specialist to support members in meeting their goals toward crisis resolution and wellness in the community. The role emphasizes lived experience, active listening, and recovery-oriented approaches.

You will assist in developing recovery plans, provide on-the-spot support, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the team to connect clients with local resources.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; varied life experience related to mental health.
• CA driver's license with current vehicle insurance/registration.

Responsabilités

• Support and teach recovery principles and recovery tools.
• Model personal responsibility, self-advocacy and hopefulness.
• Assess client hopes, strengths, and challenges with goals.
• Develop and support recovery plans with participants.
• Provide on-the-spot support aligned with program philosophy.
• Maintain guest logs and records; health and housekeeping logs.
• Ensure health and safety practices; assist with procedures.
• Attend team meetings and complete required paperwork.
• Develop reciprocal relationships and natural supports.
• Attend at least one monthly co-reflection group.
• Uphold program policies and procedures.
