Job summary

Turning Point Community Programs seeks a Peer Specialist to support members in achieving goals toward crisis resolution and maintaining wellness in the community. Under supervision, you will use lived experience to provide listening, hope, and recovery messages.

This role emphasizes empowerment, mutual learning, and connection to local resources. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm; compensation is $21.00–$23.73 per hour, with standard at-will employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent life experience.
• Experience in mental health or social services preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in meeting goals toward crisis resolution and wellness.
• Provide on-the-spot support aligned with program philosophy.
• Support development of recovery and wellness plans with clients.
• Maintain monthly guest logs and program records.
• Attend team meetings and complete required paperwork.
