Job summary

Casa Esperanza, Inc., a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley, seeks a Unit Manager to supervise daily programs, ensure safety, and support both clients and staff. You will log belongings and medications, facilitate admissions and discharges, and work with the Program Director to maintain regulatory compliance.

The role includes training Recovery Specialists, coordinating client activities, crisis intervention as needed, and overseeing

Qualifications

  • Must maintain client confidentiality/privacy.
  • Ability to work as a treatment team member.
  • Problem-solve programmatic concerns with the Program Director.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and external providers professionally.
  • Manage moral/ethical boundaries with clients/staff.
  • Must have computer/data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision when the Program Director is not on-site.
  • Provide capacity-building training for Recovery Specialists.
  • Assist staff in developing co-occurring treatment skills.
  • Manage daily client schedule; ensure activities are completed.
  • Supervise admission/discharge processes and ensure protocol adherence.
  • Give tours and orientation to new clients.
  • Log and store client belongings and medications.
  • Submit work orders for maintenance.
  • Collaborate to manage inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure safety, crisis intervention, and emergency services as needed.
  • Oversee medication files and MMRS logs.
  • Manage and train Recovery Specialists in toxicology screening.
  • Review station logs for required documentation.
  • Coordinate two-monthly Recovery Specialists meetings.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Program Director.
  • Ensure safety and security protocols and licensing compliance.
  • Assist with shift coverage and holiday scheduling.
  • Provide support at Recovery Specialists station area.
