Job summary

The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is actively seeking a Recovery Support Staff to assist individuals with substance use disorders in NYS OASAS certified programs. You will provide courteous customer service at the safety desk, support daily activities, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow complex instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year related work experience preferred.
• New York State Security License preferred (CRPA-P, CASAC-T, CRPA or similar).
• Familiar with DSP, BHT, Milieu Counselor in Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and engaging customer service from safety desk or residential posts.
• Ensures the safety and well-being of all clients, visitors, and personnel.
• Assists with meals and snacks and monitors the dining area.
• Maintains accurate shift reports and documents incidents.
• Escorts clients to meals, groups, and activities within the facility.
• Assists with urine specimen collection for drug tox screens on new admissions.
• Monitors facility premises and ensures structured daily activities.
• Supports proper room searches and adherence to program schedules.
