Job summary

The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County in New York operates an OASAS certified detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation program. Recovery Support Staff assists clients from pre-admissions to discharge, coordinates with an interdisciplinary team, and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment during an overnight shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year related work experience preferred.
• CRPA-P, CASAC-T, CRPA, or NYS Security License preferred.
• Familiar with DSP, BHT, Milieu Counselor in Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and engaging customer service from safety desk or residential posts, cross training for all posts/workstations.
• Ensures the safety and well-being of all clients, visitors, and personnel while providing professional service.
• Supports evacuation drills and responses to safety codes with accurate incident reporting.
• Observes and monitors clients, providing trauma-informed redirection to adhere to program schedule.
• Communicates client activity to interdisciplinary teams and escorts clients to appointments.
• Assists with meals, snacks, dosing administration for limited smoking program, and dining area monitoring.
• Supports room searches, contraband screening, and property checks; maintains shift reports.
