Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. (CHR) in Willimantic, CT seeks a Residential Aide for Heartwood Home to join a 24-hour residential program serving men 18+. The role supports residents in daily living, medications, and skill-building activities in a structured recovery setting.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. Salary starts at $19.28 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth; valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid are required or obtainable

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record. CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains program environment to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and licensing standards.
• Monitors residents' medications per policy.
• Communicates day’s events effectively to staff.
• Teaches residents in rehab areas: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, home care skills.
• Assists/Manages administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents with medical and psychiatric needs and documents accordingly.
