Job summary

Residential Aide is part-time, on-site at Heartwood Home in Willimantic, CT, focusing on maintaining a safe living environment for men 18+. The role supports medication monitoring, daily program activities, and skills-building in nutrition, hygiene, budgeting, and basic home care.

Schedule is Friday and Saturday evenings, 3pm-11:30pm, with 16 hours per week. Minimum education is a high school diploma; valid driver’s license required with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Human Services.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record. CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents.
• Transmits daily events to staff using appropriate communication tools.
• Teaches residents in rehab areas such as nutrition, hygiene, budgeting, and home care skills.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups as directed by the treatment plan.
• Collaborates with providers and families to coordinate care.
