Job summary

Topside FCU is seeking a Recovery Specialist II in Dahlgren, VA to independently manage moderately complex delinquent accounts and execute recovery strategies. Qualifications

• Experience in delinquent account collection or similar role.
• Knowledge of FDCPA and related regulations.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple parties and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act in daily work.
• Manage the repossession lifecycle from initiation to liquidation, coordinating with vendors.
• Monitor delinquencies and mortgage accounts, sending required notices and taking appropriate action.
• Assist with bankruptcy-related processes and court filings when needed.
• Maintain proper documentation, indexing, and imaging of files and notices.
