Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Recovery Support Technician II/Peer Support in Manchester, KY to assist individuals in recovery with person-centered coaching and peer-led encouragement. You will provide education, model positive recovery pathways, and connect clients with community resources to support lasting change.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, KY Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred, and a valid KY driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
KY Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred.
Valid KY driver’s license and insurance required.
2 years of demonstrated recovery preferred.
Familiar with MS Office; proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
Provide recovery education to service recipients for every phase of the recovery journey.
Assist recovering persons to identify personal interests, goals and strengths.
Develop and coach recovery plans and promote self-directed recovery.
Identify and connect clients to community resources and supports.
Support connections to mutual self-help groups and professional resources.
Maintain ongoing engagement and re-engagement support with clients.
