Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States in Murray, KY is seeking a Lead Recovery Support Technician II/Peer Support to join the Recovery Community Center. The role focuses on mentoring peers, providing recovery education, and supporting individuals through early recovery steps.

You will work under the Program Manager, maintain logs, coordinate resources, and help participants build self-directed recovery plans while promoting community connections and ongoing engagement in services.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• KY Certified peer support specialist certification required.
• Valid KY Driver's License and current automobile insurance required.
• Minimum 1 year sobriety; 2 years recovery preferred.
• Familiar with MS Office; proficient with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
• Provide recovery education to service recipients at all stages of recovery.
• Assist recovering persons to identify goals, strengths and recovery plans.
• Coach recovering persons to develop personal recovery plans and life goals.
• Promote self-advocacy and connect clients with community resources.
• Develop relationships with community groups and visit resources to explore opportunities for participants.
• Support connections to mutual self-help groups and professional resources as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management and leadership.
