Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) seeks a Recovery Support Technician for our Manchester, KY residential program. The role focuses on safety and security, monitoring residents, and maintaining daily logs and compliance with agency policies.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, sobriety where applicable, and a valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid within 30 days is required, with background checks completed prior to employment; opportunity for growth through VOA training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 12 months sobriety if applicable.
• Two years post-secondary education preferred.
• Two years experience in a treatment facility or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Satisfactory criminal and sex crimes background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operation control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
• Ensure clients’ compliance with VOA Mid-States policies and house rules.
• Maintain chronologically written records of events during the shift.
• Maintain client sign-in/sign-out log.
• Conduct periodic tours of the facility and grounds.
• Monitor client counts and behavior hourly.
• Complete required documentation and attend trainings.
• Provide transportation and childcare if needed.
• Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Support PQI duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as needed.
