RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist to support the Peer Living Room in Burlington, NC. The role focuses on trauma-informed service delivery, peer mentoring, and community engagement.

Responsibilities include facilitating groups, coordinating activities, and guiding individuals toward recovery and social connection. Must hold NC (or PA) PSS certification and have reliable transportation; pay is $17 per hour, schedule Monday–Friday 8–5 with regular hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with behavioral health.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Team Lead to develop a welcoming and trauma-informed PLR space.
• Develop group activities and manage the PLR schedule; oversee all activities in the space.
• Model effective coping and self-help techniques for individuals.
• Provide empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assist individuals in finding resources and encouraging follow-through with proposed resolutions.
• Lead peer support groups with individuals served.
• Support individuals in daily decision making and resolving minor problems.
• Facilitate social opportunities in the community.
• Foster healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Share personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
