RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist for an on-site, full-time role in Lenoir, NC. The position includes 40 hours per week with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour and evening/weekend hours depending on needs.

The role emphasizes supportive recovery services, empowerment, and community integration. The ideal candidate is a NC-certified peer support specialist with preferred experience in behavioral health and a valid driver’s license to enable transportation and

Formación

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC.
• 1 year experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Providing empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assisting individuals in finding resources, advising of processes, and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions, locating social activities, or provide other assistance as needed.
• Leading peer support groups with individuals served.
• Supporting/assisting individuals in daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitating social opportunities in the community.
• Fostering development of healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Sharing personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
• Assist with linkage to needed appointments and community resources.
