Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) to work within the community-based Community Support Team in Burlington, NC. The role emphasizes recovery, self-determination, and advocacy, delivering person-centered support alongside the healthcare team.

The CPSS will meet clients, support group activities, and help navigate resources and social activities while modeling coping skills and empowerment strategies to promote overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Requires NC Peer Support Certification or equivalent training.
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting individuals with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use challenges.
• Must complete 20 hours of training for the service definition within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance; background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and consultation to the interdisciplinary team.
• Meet with clients to offer support in accordance with treatment plans.
• Assist in peer support groups and daily decision making for clients.
