Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) to fill a Regular position with a pay rate of $17 per hour. Certification in NC or PA is required, with a focus on supporting individuals in recovery and helping them access resources.

Responsibilities include leading peer groups, empowerment coaching, and assisting with resource navigation, while meeting pre‑employment screenings and transportation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• Prefer 2 years experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment screening: criminal background check, name check in relevant registries, drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required).
• Positions that require driving require proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle if transportation for individuals is provided.

Responsibilities

• Model effective coping and self‑help techniques to individuals.
• Provide empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assist individuals in finding resources, advising on processes, and encouraging follow‑through with proposed resolutions.
• Locate social activities or provide other assistance as needed.
• Lead peer support groups with individuals served.
• Support/assist individuals in daily decision‑making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitate social opportunities in the community.
• Foster development of healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Share personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
