Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to advocate for clients in office outpatient settings and support their recovery journey. You will help with self-help groups, life skills training, and coordinating transportation for program activities.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is a full-time, on-site position in Fresno, CA, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Advise and advocate for clients in office outpatient settings.
• Ensure confidentiality of consumer information.
• Assist in setting up and sustaining self-help groups.
• Greet clients on arrival and explain program rules.
• Attend weekly program meetings.
• Answer phones and perform filing and general office duties.
• Provide supervision and monitoring of clients.
• Deliver life skills training and facilitate groups.
• Plan socialization groups and events for clients.
• Communicate with agencies involved in clients' rehabilitation.
• Provide timely reports on unusual occurrences impacting operations.
