Tpocc seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to advocate for clients, provide information, and deliver peer support in office outpatient settings. The role includes coordinating self-help groups, supervising clients, and facilitating life skills training within the program.

Strong English communication and a background in client services are essential. Based in Fresno, the position requires on-site presence, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current certified training in emergency first aid procedures.
• Current or former recipient of client services required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license and transportation.

Responsabilités

• Assist needs of program staff and clients to provide quality services to SMI clients.
• Maintain confidentiality of consumer information and comply with policies.
• Assist consumers in setting up and sustaining self-help groups.
• Greet clients on arrival and explain program rules.
• Attend weekly program meetings and perform general office duties.
• Provide client transportation and supervision of clients.
• Lead individual life skills training and group facilitation.
• Organize social groups and events for clients.
• Communicate with agencies involved in rehabilitation of clients.
• Provide timely reports on unusual occurrences affecting program operations.
