Job summary

Ampact, administering Recovery Corps, seeks a Recovery Navigator in Illinois to support peers in their recovery journeys by guiding access to resources and helping set goals and recovery action plans. You will mentor participants and share experiences to foster healthier lives.

We offer two schedules: full-time 40 hours weekly and part-time 25 hours weekly, with comprehensive benefits and bi-weekly pay. This AmeriCorps role emphasizes service, learning, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year in recovery from a substance use disorder.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with participants.
• Lean on your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support.
• Connect participants with social service resources and programs.
• Track participant recovery plan progress.
• Participate in training and professional development throughout the year, including the Peer Recovery Support training.
• Share your experience with the community.
