Job summary
Recovery Corps is seeking a Recovery Navigator to provide peer support to individuals in recovery in Minnesota. You’ll guide participants through goal setting, resource navigation, and recovery action planning, drawing on your own recovery experience.
This AmeriCorps role includes training, community engagement, and opportunities to share your journey to inspire others. Expect 40 hours/week, daytime schedule, Monday–Friday; benefits include health coverage, child care assistance, and loan
Qualifications
- In recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder
- Dependable with good attendance
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule
- Basic computer skills (email, navigating online)
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident
- Able to complete a background check
Responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with participants
- Lean on your own recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support
- Connect participants with social service resources and programs
- Track participant recovery plan progress and participate in training
- Share your experience with the community
